Summary
Chainsaw Man Manga (Japanese: チェンソーマン, Hepburn: Chensō Man) is a Japanese manga written by Tatsuki Fujimoto which is based on the tragic story of a boy named Denji.
Denji’s parents died and left behind a huge debt on Denji, because of that he spent his life in poverty. He works as a Devil hunter to earn daily wages and bread of the day. He has a demon dog and with his help, he hunts down the devil.

Denji is a poor guy whose parents died and left a huge sum of debt amount on Denji. He sold some organs to pay the debt which his father took from a yakuza.
The yakuza give takes to denji to hunt down the devils to make money to pay back the debt.
He owns a devil dog named Pochita who assists him in hunting down devils. The dog resembles a Chainsaw.
Once the yakuza trap him and he is nearly killed by a group of devils and Pochita merged himself with denji to save his life.
And that dog revived as half-devil, Chainsawman.
Denji kills the devil that killed him and then he joined the government devil’s hunters as a team as he is partially half devil.
The team leader Makima persuades him to join the devil hunter team with his other teammates Aki Hayakawa and Power to being avoid hunted by them.
It’s serialized in Shueisha’s weekly shonen jump magazine from Dec 2018 to Dec 2020.
Its second part was announced and will be serialized in Shueisha’s shonen jump+ online magazine. Viz Manga licensed in English in North America to print both physical and Digital released.

Denji:
A young boy with sharp yellow eyes with bags and sharp teeth to match and has scruffy blonde hair. He inherited the huge debt of his father which he took from a yakuza.
And He met a Chainsaw dog devil Pochita and become a Devil hunter to clear the debt by killing the devils for yakuza.
In the last Yakuza betrayed him, he was killed by zombies, and then Pochita merged with him and revived him as half Devil.
After this, he can transfer into a devil human hybrid Known as Chainsaw man by pulling the cord on his chest.
He was persuaded by Makima and he became a Public Safety Devil Hunter to live as a human.
Makima:
Makima is a mysterious and beautiful woman who is Public Safety Devil Hunter. She persuades and took Denji as a human pet.
Makima is cunning, manipulative, intelligent, and controlling Denji by taking advantage of his romantic attraction towards her with a Promise.
Her goal is unknown and her allegiance with humanity is ambiguous.
Later it revealed that she controls a devil which embodies the fear of control, and seeks to create a world without suffering from the help of Chainsaw man.
Aki Hayakawa:
Akki is also a Public Safety Devil Hunter who works under Makima’s special Division 4 Squad.
He contracted with the devil of the future and devil of curse who allow him to use a powerful spike in exchange for his life span and see a few seconds into the future.
Akki had a former contract with Fox Devil who allow him to summon its head.
Power:
Power is a Blood Fiend devil and Public Safety Devil Hunter and also works under Makima’s special squad.
She is a young woman with pink hair and light red horns protruding from the top of her head.
Her nature is childish, greedy, loves violence but still cute.
Power cares about her pet care and once was sacrificing her life to save denji from bat devil.
In end, she is killed by Makima to break Denji by giving happiness and then taking it from him.
Before she died she made a contract with denji in exchange for his blood and asked him to find the reborn Blood Devil and turn her back into Power so that they can be friends again.
Kishibe:
Kishibe is the oldest hunter in the organization. He is also one of the strongest hunters. Kishibe trained Denji and Power to become powerful and to improve their teamwork.
Angel Devil:
He is a humanoid Devil with an angel-like wing. His power is bothersome that’s why he lives alone. After the death of Himeno, he becomes a partner of Akki. Angel Devil is also the part of 4th Special Division.
Kobeni Higashiyama:
Kobeni works under Makima’s Experimental Squad. From behavior, she is timid and cowardly still her reflex and speed are top-notch.
Himeno:
Himeno used to work under makima’s special squad. She had a contract with Ghost devil because of that she was able to use invisible arms. She was a partner of Akki but during the fighting with Sword devil, she was killed by Sawatari’s Snake Devil.
Reze:
She is a hybrid of human and bomb devil. While working in the cafe she met denji and fall in love with him. Later it revealed that she was the partner of Gun Devil and sent to kill denji.
She was killed by makima after escaping from Denji.
Pochita:
Pochita is the devil who submerged with the devil and saved Denji. He was the original chainsaw man but because of a fight with a mysterious opponent he become weak lost his real appearance as a dark version of chainsaw man with four arms. In starting he was shown as a dog which was his weakest state.
His true power is to eat the devil and erase their existence and this is the reason why all devil feared him.
Gun Man Devil:
The main target of Denji and Makima was to defeat Gun Man devil. He is the one of the most powerful devil.
Gun man send many devil to hunt Denji such as Reze.

Chainsaw man manga’s Anime Adoption
It’s announced that Chainsaw man manga will receive an anime adoption and produced by MAPPA who produced famous animes like Jujutsu kaisen and Attack On Titan season 4. Fujimoto commented “ Chainsaw man is copycat of Dorohedoro and Jujutsu kaisen and the studio of Jujutsu kaisen and Dorohedoro will handle the animation Chainsaw man manga Online.
